What initially drew you to this field? GUEST: I've always loved the outdoors, and I wanted a career where I could make a positive impact on our environment. Park management was a perfect fit for me. HOST: That's inspiring. Now, can you tell us about some current industry trends related to sustainable practices and resource management? GUEST: Absolutely. There's a growing focus on using technology to monitor and manage resources, as well as a shift towards more community-based park management. HOST: Interesting. And what are some of the challenges you've faced or observed in visitor engagement? GUEST: One major challenge is balancing the need for education with the desire for recreation. We want visitors to learn, but we also want them to have fun! HOST: That's a great point. Looking to the future, where do you see the park management industry heading? GUEST: I believe we'll continue to see a greater emphasis on sustainability and inclusivity, as well as increased use of data and technology to inform management decisions.
